About ARIAS/ Project Overview
Project overview
-
ARIAS (Advanced Research Into Aeromechanical Solutions) is a Horizon 2020 funded research project in the field of aeronautical engineering.
-
The project directly targets “maintaining industrial leadership in aeronautics” of the European aircraft engine manufacturing sector
-
The project has received a funding of 7.5 milion € from the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme of the European Union and was launched on 1 September 2018. It is set to run for a period of four years (48 months) and is coordinated by KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
-
The ARIAS consortium has a balanced representation from leading European universities, research centers and aircraft engine industries. 19 partners from 7 different European countries, joined their forces and brought all the necessary know-how to achieve the ambitious goals of the ARIAS project
-
The aim of the ARIAS project is to improve the predictive capability of methods used to analyze aerodynamically induced blade vibrations in aircraft engines.
